To celebrate the annual Founders Memorial Lecture, Stratford upon Avon Art Society welcomes Nicola Kalinsky who will be telling us about the many highlights of the collection of paintings, furniture, tapestries, manuscripts, coins and other works of art which fill the Barber Institute of Fine Art.   Founded in 1932 and generously presented to the University of Birmingham, the gallery was filled with ‘works of art or beauty’ by Lady Barber following her late husband’s wishes and this talk will tease out some of the special treasures

Director of the Gallery since 2013, Nicola Kalinsky was previously Deputy Director at the Scottish National Gallery and Keeper of Dulwich Picture Gallery and this is a fascinating opportunity to enjoy her wide knowledge on many subjects of fine art.

Entry free to Stratford upon Avon Art Society members.
